  Summery of findings and outcome
  • Efficient, cost effective environment friendly and technically superior 4 (four)     processes in the specialized areas of jute / kenaf i.e. bleaching, b) softening, c) dyeing and d) proofing (mildew/rot/fire/odour etc.) were developed.

  • The developed processes were also extended to actual shop floor know how and technologies for manufacture of larger production volumes in industries through involvement of local industries.

     
 

Application/

Commercialization/ Current Status:

As follow up, another CFC funded project entitled ‘Small scale entrepreneurship development in diversified jute products (CFC/IJSG/18)’ has recently been completed very successfully, where the technology developed under the earlier project viz. wet processing  techniques etc. has been utilized and a good number of wet processing plants have been set up.
