Jute application in Poland:

         Shopping bags

         Rugs

         Non-woven Geo-textile particularly in roadway, railroad, landfill or civil / environmental engineering project particularly in Separation of Dissimilar Materials, Reinforcement of Weak Soils and Other Materials, Filtration (Cross-Plane Flow), Drainage (In-Plane Flow) etc.

         Woven Geo-textile for filtering soils, distributing loads, reducing rutting and extending the life of paved and unpaved roadways.

         Textile Industry*:

-          Polish textile industry is still the large one among industries of the EU

-          Supplies linen, decorative fabrics and fabrics for the clothing industry, but also products used in manufacturing of packaging, tyres, conveyors and protective clothing

-          Dominated by Cotton

-          In 2004, the industry was 35 (spinning mills – 13 & weaving mills 22)

-          Manufactured jute yarn along with cotton, silk, flax, wool, hemp

         Catalogue of Green Principles:

-          providing the conference facilities with recycled paper for printers and with devices allowing for two-sided printing

-          eliminating the dishes made of plastic, including mixers, cups, saucers, cutlery, etc. and plastic bottles

  A Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation (MOUC) has been signed between the International Jute Study Group (IJSG) and the Institute of Natural Fibres and Medicinal Plants (INF&MP) on 21 September 2011 at INF&MP, Poland.
