    Air pollution, emissions of coal-fired electric plants, and transportation in major cities, industrial, municipal, and agricultural pollution of inland waterways and seacoasts, deforestation, soil erosion, soil contamination, radioactive contamination and groundwater contamination.


    Major plastic packaging producers in Russia will ban the sale of beer in plastic bottles from January2013.


    Russia loses approximately one billion US dollars per year to illegal logging and trade. Illegal and uncontrolled cutting is a major issue in many parts of Russia.


    Over the period 1990-2010, Russia CO2 emissions decreased by 28%.
