  UK has great history regarding jute. They start using jute from the middle age.

  The British East India Company was the British Empire Authority company was the first Jute trader from 1970. The company started trading raw jute with Dundee's Jute Industry. In 1833, Jute fiber was spun mechanically in Dundee, Scotland

  the British industrialist George Auckland set up the first jute mill at Rishra in the Hooghly district of West Bengal in1854
